august & september collection updates / 9/28/2026

ohh, im so old... and stuff. its been another long while, so lets just hop into it!

august collection update

to be completely frank with you, i didnt get any merchandise. kinda shocking, right? but i think this might happen a little more, considering how im kind of poor these days, so whatever.

i DID decide to actually get some small shelves for my desk, and theyre pretty neat! thats all i have for august, but its still something.

i probably shouldve gotten another 2-story shelf, but i guess i just wanted diversity. its still good holding all my junk in place though.

september collection update

are you ready... for something unique?

TA-DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its a ball-jointed doll! well, actually a blindbox ball-jointed doll, but not much difference outside of the unfortunate gambling aspect.

i do have another that might be coming in october (or november), but she came kinda early. her name is orz, and shes from qiqis studios Henshin Denkigai set. and they really appealed to the small moe fan in me, so thats why i got orz... although, theres def other dolls from other smaller companies that do the same niche. im kind of seeing a sudden uptick in these bjd dolls the moment i decided to check the rest out, but maybe its just me. so many...

orz is the first doll i had in a LONG time, and you could probably tell. i sort of struggled having to put her together, because her whole body is actually connected by stretchy string(?) and it kinda collapses if you screw up with the hooks there. i still really liked how she turned out in the end, even if it isnt 100 percent accurate to the promotional images (i also mostly bought her because i thought she had a resting bitch face expression, but its just a small smile. i think thats still really cute!) outside of a collecting card i was too lazy to take a picture of, i think all the dolls also come with small hair styling tools, like a hairbrush and all. i also recall they just actually made videos on how to style specific dolls?!??! theyre really kind, is what im saying.

the one criticism i do have is that her shoulder wings feel kind of awkward and fall off easily, and god dont get me started on the tail. i think most of these dolls are just made with templates, but i kinda wish there was a sort of plug for the tail to be attached instead of having to use puddy to do so. unless puddy is better and im just bad at attaching tails... im also really bad at posing her. im so sorry, orz.

orz also has a pretty scifi(?) aesthetic, so i like the tail just being a plug. its always pleasant to see, and i guess these companies have fully hooked me into moe dolls that i have to look around to buy a specific doll from and not gamble. darn it!!!!!!!!!

(also, dont mind how im watching ted in one of the pictures. just watch the tv show, actually. the movies are just okay. some parts are really dated though.)
