helena the terrible and her son

"Why would you do this to me?"

Sonarchy heard his mother hiss through her tongue, blood staining her black frills connected to her head. He held his mother in shaking hands, a gun in one, now feeling the grip of his mothers nails on his shoulders.

The claws gripped tight on his throat as they slithered upwards, the prince feeling the claws almost pierce his neck. Sonarchy could only see the expression of his mother, makeup dripping with the only eyes of her left giving him a bloodshot glare.

He couldn't respond. His mother began to squeeze further, like she was considering to choke the breath out of him. He gasped for air, tears filling his ducts as a mix of blood and water dripped from his nose.

The gun slipped from his hand, hitting the floor as snake-like hands circled his throat. He began gasp and wheeze, starting to voice his cries.

"M-Mama-" He choked out, hearing his mother hiss underneath her breath. He couldn’t make out words, his voice harsh and wheezed.

"Why would you ever betray me?" Her voice sounds like a growl, clawing at the flesh and blood she created. "I wanted to make this world anew for us, and yet you go behind my back- planning to ruin EVERYTHING I built?"

Sonarchy could see her starting to inch up, a single hand keeping him from speaking back. The prince tried to break loose, trying to grab his mothers arm before being thrown on the desolate floor.

Covet Hiss loomed over the prince, as he saw the decaying person she was becoming. Her dress was torn from their fight, gaping wounds that begged for death. A single arm showed more rot than he's ever seen in his life, only fresh skin left on the hand.

She reaches out to the gun, with Sonarchy beginning to back off to a rock. He didn't want this. He never wanted this. He wanted to be happy with his Mama and his godfathers. He didn't want to be a walking corpse, he didn't want revenge, he wanted to be safe.

Sonarchy felt himself tear up uncontrollably, the gunshot hurting his ears as an awful headache set in. It didn't matter that they could die, because all his Mama wanted to do was hurt him- right? They were going to be stuck here together, their corpses decaying into nothing but skeletons as rubble consumes this awful dynasty.

Blood drips from his wound, his vision split and fucked up. He tilts his head around, feeling slumped as the smell reeks. He clutches his chest, feeling like he was frozen alive rather than shot by his own mother. He would've preferred that.

He couldn't figure another word to say, hardly looking his mother in the eye anymore. His mother would've never hurt him like this back then, he would've never been used as an extension of her. He hates her. He hates what this has all become. He wishes he didn't get to see the light again.

The gun drops onto stone, as Sonarchy feels coldness wrap around him. He hears her ruffle his hair, feeling more like it could be torn from his scalp at any moment. He hears words mumbled to his ear, sounding like false promises of change.

Sonarchy looked at the ceiling, watching whatever light that existed then slowly fade into nothing.

Maybe he doesn't have to forgive her, then.
